You do not have to arrive with the answer

You might want calmer mornings, fewer arguments about phones or a better connection with your child. We begin with a real situation and what makes it difficult for you.

We look at everyone’s needs and at the choices available to you as parents. There is room for uncertainty and exhaustion, too.

What we can work on together

  • Understanding recurring arguments
  • Making boundaries clear and understandable
  • Agreeing a more consistent approach between adults
  • Supporting a child through school, friendship difficulties or change
  • Finding a way to reconnect after an argument

Small changes to try between sessions

Perhaps a familiar argument needs a calmer time and place. Perhaps a rule needs to be clearer. We are not looking for perfect parenting scripts, but words and routines that feel natural to your family.

We agree how parent and child sessions will fit together before you book. Whole-family work is only arranged where it suits both your needs and the scope of the service.

Can I come without my child?

Yes, you can start by talking with me on your own. We focus on your observations and how you respond. We do not diagnose an absent child or put pressure on them to attend.

Knowing the limits of coaching

Coaching is not sufficient on its own where there is violence, a safeguarding concern, an acute crisis or a mental health condition requiring treatment. Legal questions, including custody and contact arrangements, need the relevant specialist advice.
