My approach

Understanding starts with listening

Some children tell you what is on their mind straight away. Others find the words while drawing, playing or doing something together. I give them time and take their experience seriously.

We start with something specific: what feels hard, what is already going well and what might be a manageable next step? Your child has a say in that conversation.

Knowledge & experience

The experience I bring.

01

B.Sc. Psychology

A foundation in development, behaviour and family relationships.

02

Trained coach

Training in child, teen and family coaching.

03

3 years in a school setting

Hands-on experience of how learning, friendships and feelings shape a child’s day.

My work at YONCA is coaching. I do not provide diagnosis or psychotherapy. If an issue needs a different kind of support, I will say so clearly.

In practice

A way of working that fits your child

01

Age-appropriate

conversation, drawing, play and short activities, chosen around your child’s interests.

02

Practical

goals you can recognise in everyday life, such as asking for help or handling a disagreement differently.

03

Connected

parents share their observations and try out realistic ideas at home.

04

Respectful

your child can ask questions, take a break or say that something does not feel right.

A clear framework

Trust needs clear agreements

Before we begin, we agree how child sessions, parent conversations and feedback will work. You should understand the process, while your child has space to speak for themselves. We also explain the limits of confidentiality, especially where safety is concerned.

In Berlin or online, in English or German: we choose a setting that works for your child and your family.

Your questions

Good to know.

Yes. The introductory call is a free, no-obligation, 30-minute conversation with you as parents. We get to know each other, talk through your concerns and consider whether coaching could be a good fit. This is not a coaching session. Separately, you can book one initial 60-minute coaching session for your child for €120 before deciding on a package.

Parents are part of the process. The balance depends on your child’s age, your goals and your circumstances. Your child also needs space of their own. At the outset, we agree what will be shared with you and explain the limits of confidentiality, particularly where someone’s safety is at risk.

Coaching focuses on everyday challenges and personal goals. Psychotherapy includes the assessment and treatment of mental health conditions. YONCA does not offer diagnosis or psychotherapy. Whether treatment is needed must be assessed by an appropriately qualified professional.
