Look beyond the difficult morning

What feels hard: a lesson, a friendship, the journey to school or the fear of getting something wrong? We start with specific situations rather than quick labels.

Repeated headaches or stomach aches need medical attention. Ongoing school avoidance, intense anxiety or significant distress need timely professional assessment; coaching must not delay that.

Where coaching can help

  • Making expectations easier to talk about
  • Breaking tasks into manageable steps
  • Trying out ways to ask for help
  • Finding routines that suit your child
  • Preparing a conversation with a teacher

Working with the adults around your child

Parents and school may need to work together. Any contact I make with a school is agreed explicitly and requires the relevant consent. Coaching cannot replace the school’s responsibilities or necessary treatment.

A clear scope

Coaching focuses on suitable everyday goals, such as communication and organisation. It does not diagnose or treat an anxiety disorder. We discuss the fit before beginning.
