Understanding a familiar pattern

What happens before things escalate? How does everyone respond? What sometimes helps? We explore real situations without assuming that anger points to one particular cause or diagnosis.

Things to practise when everyone is calm

  • Noticing early signs of tension
  • Finding words or pictures for feelings and needs
  • Trying a pause or an agreed signal
  • Expressing a boundary without hurting someone
  • Reconnecting after an argument

Sometimes a new perspective begins with play.

Parents need practical options, too

We look at boundaries and responses that are both clear and realistic. A child can learn that their feeling is understood while hurtful behaviour is still stopped.

Coaching is not an intervention in the middle of an outburst. We use calmer moments to find and practise other possibilities.

Safety comes first

Severe or increasing aggression, injuries, self-harm or major disruption to everyday life require qualified professional support. In immediate danger in Germany, call 112. Coaching is not a crisis service.
