Screen-time clashes: online kids coaching in Germany

Phone fights without a trip to Berlin: online coaching across Germany — one screen, not a filter app pretending to be a personality.

Online kids coaching across Germany

Talking about screens on a screen only if the game is actually off. Otherwise Berlin. No Hamburg clone.

What stays child-sized on a screen

Rules in sentences a primary-school child can hold. Parents not as filter police in the thumbnail.

Tech that is not trying to impress anyone

One device, headphones, no second window.

When travelling to Berlin is worth it

When the body shows the crash. Article, FAQ, packages.

Households with a Dubai connection

Dubai. Tied nowhere: online.

Screens are rarely the only topic. They are often the loudest. After school, when hunger and shame meet, “one more round” becomes a war. Some children explode — see angry outbursts. Some disappear into chats that hurt — see bullying. Coaching does not install a phone ban as a personality. It looks for rules that still hold tomorrow, and adults who do not give in from exhaustion and then go harder the next day.

I do not promise a digital detox in four weeks. I offer a frame where parent and child practise sentences that are not only morals. That starts before a child sits with me: in the parent conversation, where we hear which device buys peace and which one wrecks the evening.

Talking about screens on a screen only if the game is actually off. Otherwise we practise the thing we complain about: another hour on a device.

You do not choose a package first. Conversation first, then — if it fits — a frame in Berlin or on a screen, in English or German. Kids life coaching stays support, not treatment.

After all-day school in Germany the device is often the first pause the child chooses. Talking about it online only works if that pause is actually over. Otherwise we practise the very fight you want to leave.

I do not copy the same paragraph for Cologne and Kiel. One page for Germany, one room in Berlin. School BYOD and house rules are two different pairs of shoes — we sort that without claiming an addiction.

Some children in Germany already know the screen as a school place. Then a coaching hour must not feel like a fifth video lesson. We draw, we sort cards, we name which device buys peace and which one wrecks the evening. If siblings are in the room: headphones, or we wait. That is not a morals programme. It is a week that can be carried.

A clear next step

Screen clashes in Germany without the high-speed train: parent conversation. Kids life coaching is not psychotherapy and not medical treatment.

Questions parents ask

In person in Cologne?

No. In person Berlin. Germany online. We sort that in the parent conversation, without diagnosis or a promised cure.

An hour on a device about devices?

Only if the second device is off. Otherwise Berlin or a pause.

A substitute for therapy?

No. Educational. If a professional service is clearly needed, other hands.
